Delhi Capitals have announced the addition of Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman to their squad for the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The left-arm pacer has been brought in to replace Jake Fraser-McGurk, who will not be returning for the tournament resuming on May 17.
Mustafizur, who is 29 years old, has joined the team for a fee of ₹6 crore following Fraser-McGurk's unavailability due to personal reasons. In his IPL career, Mustafizur has played 57 matches, taking 61 wickets at an economy rate of 8.14.
Previously, Mustafizur was part of the Chennai Super Kings last season, where he participated in 9 matches and claimed 4 wickets. However, he was released by CSK for the new season, and during the mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last November, he went unsold.
Mustafizur Rahman is back in 💙❤️ after two years!
